Steven is Caravel Law’s Director of Disruption. His focus is on #legaltech and technology generally. His legal practice focuses exclusively on start-ups and venture financing.

Steven is an accomplished, entrepreneurial lawyer with a strong background in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate finance, commercial, technology, and media law. Steven brings real-world technology and development expertise to both Caravel Law and his clients.

Steven has acted on both sides of venture-based financings, commercial (service agreements, contests, online advertising, CASL compliance, Terms of Service, Non-Disclosure Agreements, etc ) and technology-related agreements. Steven is fluent in many of today’s web and print technologies and standards, including CSS, HTML5, leading web frameworks and complete multimedia production.

Steven’s passion for assisting start-ups and the investor community extends beyond the legal profession. Steven co-founded Fireside Conference – an annual invite-only and off-the-grid retreat featuring 350+ of the brightest minds in the North American technology, startup, and investor communities.
