David is an experienced senior corporate counsel with focus on industrial and retail sectors.
David assists with the drafting and negotiating of complex commercial agreements and lends support on employment, competition, and corporate governance matters.
David has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, lending, and joint ventures. He has advised clients on a variety of legal matters, including partnership and shareholders’ agreements, reorganizations, commercial contracts, competition, environmental issues, and commercial and shareholder disputes.
As in-house legal counsel to Home Depot of Canada Inc., David was responsible for all legal matters relating to the Advertising and Marketing Group. David’s responsibilities included reviewing, drafting, and negotiating advertising and marketing contracts, advising on competition law issues relating to advertising and marketing claims, advising on marketing contests, training the advertising and marketing team on contractual matters and competition law issues relating to their business, advising on disputes/issues with regulators and third parties relating to advertising and marketing matters, and managing all corporate compliance matters relating to advertising and marketing.
