Dan enjoys providing strategic employment and labour law advice to provincially- and federally-regulated private and public sector employers. Topics of particular interest and expertise for Dan include occupational health and safety, workers’ compensation, and independent contractor vs. employee relationships. He also regularly assists his clients to deal efficiently and effectively with employment standards, employment contracts and terminations, human rights, labour relations and human resources aspects of corporate reorganizations.

In his “spare” working time, Dan instructs a course on Obligations and Liabilities of Occupational Health and Safety Professionals for the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering and a seminar on Reducing Workers’ Compensation Costs for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario.

Alter Ego:

Dan prefers to live his life “with a soundtrack” – whether he’s cooking, skiing, boating or even just putting together a puzzle, chances are he’ll also be exploring and introducing his friends to both old and new music of almost every kind.
