Cauchy Richard

Cauchy is a bilingual (English and French) corporate/commercial lawyer who is called to the Bar in both Ontario and Québec.

At Caravel Law, Cauchy works with and advises a number of clients on Ontario corporate legal matters and Québec law, including the review and drafting of contractual terms and conditions, requests for proposals, regulatory compliance, privacy laws, consumer protection, and general commercial matters. Cauchy’s clients have included Acklands-Grainger, NthGen Software, the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO), and eBay.

Previously, as in-house corporate counsel, Cauchy supported various business groups on a wide range of contractual, regulatory compliance, and general corporate matters, including advising on protection of intellectual property rights, contractual terms and conditions, and access to information. He also drafted and negotiated master service agreements and other commercial contracts including consulting agreements, licensing agreements, sponsorship agreements, non-disclosure agreements, partnership agreements, commercial leases, and procurement documentation.
